Confederate Columbus Naval Cutlass. Believed to be a product of the Confederate Naval works at Columbus, Georgia.
All features consistent and typical of this pattern. Carved wood handle with brass cross guard.
23 1/2 inches overall, 18 inch wasp waisted blade is smooth with a thin brown patina. Original tooling and cross polishing visible. Handle is securely fastened with no play. Wood is excellent with only minor scuffs. One of the best examples I've had.
