Full Length Confederate Pike Carried by member of the Georgia Home Guard at the Battle of Kennesaw Mountain. De-accessed years ago from the Atlanta Museum. Old red paint on iron strap reads:

'Carried by Marlin Roberts in Battle of Kennesaw MT'

Marlin Roberts enlisted as a private in the 5th Georgia State Guards on August 4th, 1863. It is unclear how long Roberts served and deserves more research.

Pike measures 8 feet long with a 12 inch blade. Blade is smooth with a nice gray/brown patina it is unmarked other than a single punch mark. End cap is replaced with copper.
