Nice Pair of 3.6 Inch Britten Projectiles Recovered From CSS Georgiana. The Georgiana was chased ashore by ships of the South Atlantic Blockading Squadron off the Isle of Palms, SC in March of 1863 containing a rich cargo that included cannon and munitions.

Most of the projectiles recovered from the wreck were not conserved properly leading to issues with the iron. The iron of both of these projectiles has been been restored as close as possible to their original surface.The lead sabots and the brass fuze of the shell are just as found.
