Exceptional Confederate Kenansville NC Cavalry Saber as produced by Louis Froelich's firm the Confederate States Armory of Kenansville, NC. It is complete and original in every regard with matching roman numerals on scabbard and hilt. It is the nicest sword of this pattern that we've ever offered and would be just about impossible to upgrade.
35 inch bright almost mint blade with scattered patina staining. Original leather blade washer is present. Hilt is nice and tight and has a wonderful red copper patina. Roman numerals XXIIII appear on the quilon. Outstanding leather grip wrapped with fine triple strand wire. Brass mounted iron scabbard retains about 80-90% of its original brown lacquer paint. Matching roman numerals appear on throat.
