Confederate Alteration of a First Model Virginia Manufactory Musket. This very fine example has rested in the same collection for over 30 years. The conversion from flint to percussion is believed to be the work of J.B. Barrett & Co, Wythville, Virginia.

The musket remains in fine condition having smooth surfaces with the exception of normal pitting where the cone is placed in the barrel.
