Confederate Import English P53 Cavalry Saber Marked 'ISAAC & Co'. Isaac, Campbell, & company was set up by Confederate purchasing agents in London for the sole purpose of exporting arms and munitions to the Confederacy from England. This pattern is sometimes encountered with a 'G' on blade and scabbard denoting ownership by Georgia.

This sword has an iron 3-branch guard with checkered, slab-sided grips secured by 5 rivets. Full length blade with single unstopped fuller. 'ISAAC & Co' marking is stamped in the usual spot on spine of blade near the ricasso. Scabbard is all iron with an old coating of black paint.

Hard to find a complete example of a Confederate sword in this price range.
