One of the Finest Confederate Kenansville Staff Officers Swords Extant. This sword is about as nice as you will find of this pattern. Matching roman numeral 'VII' appears on hilt and scabbard throat. Classic design features the letters 'CSA' forming the guard.
Generous amount of original red/brown lacquer remains on lap seamed scabbard.
Hilt is a pleasing deep mustard patina with one of the finest grips we've seen in a while.
32 inch blade with unstopped fuller.
Circa 1998 letter from Stone Mountain relics. Correct and original in every regard. If you've been waiting for a super fine example this is the one is for you.
