Superb Confederate 1st Model Griswold Revolver. 

Among the finest of all first models , sharp edges, trace of blue in well, very crisp gun, sharp bore, great action, mainspring broken at time of use (now restored), probably reason for showing little wear. Cylinder is sharp with safety pins and sharp cryptic which is the first mark to wear away of Griswolds. Grips are as fine as you will find on CS revolver with minor edge wear and one tiny chip at top right grip at frame. 100% original and authentic with exception of restored mainspring.

2nd to last serial number known for 1st model, 1514 being highest, 1510 is lowest number for 2nd model.

Secondary number “37” is found on all parts normally numbered including wedge. Grip channel numbered in pencil.
