Port Hudson Battlefield Dug 3-pdr US Ketchum Grenade. Fine example retains most of the iron plunger intact and rusted firmly to grenade body. Original Tom Dickey location number 7 over M indicates recovery from Port Hudson at the Fort Desperate section of the Confederate line. Port Hudson may be the only battle that this type of grenade was actually used in combat.
