Civil War Foot Officer's Sword Identified to New Mexico Territory Volunteers - Rare find.
Henry W. Lauer enlisted in June, 1864 and appears to have served out west mainly fighting Indians. His German made foot officer's sword survives as a rare momento of a Civil War soldier serving in the New Mexico Territory.
