Confederate Mitchell & Tyler Foot Officers Sword. Products of this firm and Boyle and Gamble are very similar. I believe this is Mitchell & Tyler for a couple of reasons, lack of visible blade fault, decorated vs. plain pommel cap, double twisted wire, and the presence of the number '6' stamped on each side of the guard at ricasso.

28 inch blade with unstopped fuller, correct top stitched scabbard all in excellent condition.
