Veteran Palmetto Pistol With Authentication from Dr. Fred G. Navy. This pistol turned up 'in the black' in New England. I sent it to Dr. Novy and he documented it in all aspects.

Pistols shows quite a bit of use. Lock has a nice full Palmetto Armory cartouche. Tail of lock was ground for some reason unknown removing 'SC' and the date 1852 normally seen there. Barrel has Wm Glaze mark along with 'V' over palmetto proof. The original captive ramrod was removed, mounting bracket ground smooth and subsequently fitted with a wooden rod that is probably original to its period of use.  Stock has an oiled hand worn appearance with numerous dings and dents. The left comb has 5 or 6 notches cut into it meaning unknown.
