'CSN' In The Pommel Confederate Naval Cutlass. Long believed to be a product of the Tredegar Arsenal in Richmond, VA. These are now attributed to Catherine Furnace operated by Charles Carter Wellford and is the subject of a fine North South Trader article by Cdr. Gerald C. Roxbury and Russ A. Pritchard, Jr. Vol. 41 No. 2 2019, pages 38
20 3/4 inch blade has a soft gray color, is smooth with original tool marks visible. Brass guard is damage free and shows original tool and finishing marks.
