U.S. Model 1833 Dragoon Enlisted Man's Saber and Scabbard with a super fine blade. Original wire and wrap. Hard to find this nice. In fact, we've never seen one with a nicer blade.

Brass hilt, the down turned quillon marked "WS" for Springfield Arsenal sub-inspector William Smith, two branches on the knuckle bow with slot at the top connecting to a stepped pommel with back strap, dark brown leather covered grip with brass wire wrapping; curved single-edge blade with false edge at the tip and pipe back, the right side etched near the hilt "N.P. Ames/Cutler/Springfield/1839" above stamped inspector's mark "WS," and etched on the left side of the blade "United States," with leather washer at top of blade; iron scabbard with two suspension rings, the right side of the drag stamped with inspector's mark "WS," the left side of the drag stamped "MPL./ORD." 
Blade lg. 34 1/8, overall lg. 39 1/2 in.
