Maker Marked Confederate 7-Inch Mill Base Brooke Bolt.  Maker marked is a term you never hear used when describing a confederate shell or bolt.  An identical example With the Petersburg Iron Works marking is sketched in Union General Abbots book describing the siege train of Petersburg.

 This is a fantastic piece of confederate ordnance that rarely makes its way to market in pristine condition such as this example. Actual weight is 121 pounds.
