Probably The Finest Known 7-inch Harding Shell

Our Price: sold

Probably The Finest Known 7-inch Harding Shell. All known examples were recovered from the siege lines around Charleston.

This shell is complete with its original copper sabot. Slightly pulled on one side revealing projections cast into the sabot. The wood fuse is also original to this shell and can be easily removed. Original lathe marks can be seen on the shell body. Actual weight is 60 pounds.

I bought this shell from Mr. Freddy Clark close to 20 years ago. His inventory number can still be seen on the nose.
