Transitional model. 44 caliber all matching serial number 19109. 8" octagonal barrel with early style german silver cone front sight. 6 shot round cylinder is serial numbered internally and inspector stamp 'RR' appears externally. Blue finish with brass trigger guard. Barrel and frame have "A' & "S" inspector marks. 2 piece walnut grips, left panel has a partial visible cartouche. Right panel has a barely noticeable chip where it meets the underside of frame. Underside of grip base shows some battering from its time of use. This gun is well within the range of Civil War used revolvers. The gun retains over 70% original blue finish. Bore has good rifling. Fine example used but not abused.
