Super Rare and Important Revolutionary War British 84th Regiment Cartridge Box Plate. One of the finest of the 4 or five known examples. This plate is well documented in Don Troiani's book 'Insignia of Independence'.
It is in superb condition being excavated at the site of Fort Haldimand, on Carleton Island. Two of the three fastening lugs are present, with the one missing demonstrating clearly how the plate was constructed.
