33 in., .58 caliber round barrel with folding rear sight, marked at the breech "1863" with "US", "V", "P" and eagle's head proof marks, and the left side "STEEL" and "B.H.", lock plate marked "1863" on the tail and spread wing eagle over "REMINGTON'S/ILION, N.Y." and "U.S."; walnut stock with "HDJ" and "BH" cartouches on side opposite the lock; brass furniture including a butt plate marked "U.S.", patch box, trigger guard, barrel bands and nose cap, with steel rammer; the saber bayonet with brass handle marked "B.H." and "L."
Overall lg. 49 1/8 in.
Condition: Barrel has some blue now mostly plumb, lock has good case coloring; stock has minor dings and dents, brass toned to yellow, action functions properly. Very nice survivor.
